Hallettsville, Gonzales, April, 17, 2011

Hallettsville courthouse, 1897.
Architect: Eugene T. Heiner
Lovely courthouse, lovely square, cute little town.
In 2012, this was one of our finalists for our wedding courtroom - it's a beauty inside!  We had lunch at Novosad's BBQ, along with several county employees, and it was delicious!

Really cool old bridge built in 1910 and still in use today!  We found it between Hallettsville and Gonzales on a back road.

Gonzales jail gallows.

Gonzales jail.

Gonzales courthouse, 1896, same architect as Giddings and New Braunfels.
Architect: James Riely Gordon
Really pretty courthouse, we got to tour the jail, which was pretty much as it was when last used in 1975.
In 2012 we returned to this courthouse as a finalist in our search for a wedding courtroom.   Gonzales Food Market has lamb ribs and was outstanding!

Lockhart jail - we missed it back in January - didn't know to look for it!
